Background Remover, Magic Resize, custom font uploads, transparent PNG and SVG export, and most premium templates are paid-only. Free accounts get 5GB storage and a small monthly AI allowance (roughly 20 uses per Canva's AI usage help article), so many features are shown but locked.
In September 2024 Canva replaced the flat $119.99/year Teams plan (up to 5 people) with per-seat pricing, so some 5-person teams went to about $500/year (40% off the first year). Teams is now closed to new sign-ups; the replacement Business plan costs $25 per person per month or $250 per person per year.
Pricing checks in August and September 2026 show Canva Pro at $18/month or $180/year for one person, up from $144/year in a May 2026 snapshot and about $120/year for years before that. Pro storage is now listed at 100GB rather than the 1TB older guides mention.
