Users report up to 20% price increases without corresponding service improvements following the Akamai acquisition. The pricing that made Linode competitive has eroded, straining budgets and forcing some to consider migration.
Users are surprised to learn Linode bills for powered-off instances since resources (RAM, transfer allowance) are still reserved. Unlike some competitors, simply stopping a VM doesn't stop billing - you must delete it entirely.
