Slack Screen Share Not Working in Huddles

- Low upload bandwidth (screen share needs about 600 kbps up)
How to fix it
Try these in order — the most common fix is first.
1. Re-grant Screen Recording on Mac
- System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen & System Audio Recording
- Select Slack and click the minus (-) button to remove it
- Quit and reopen Slack, start a share and allow access when prompted
2. Reset the permission with Terminal
- Open Applications > Utilities > Terminal
- Run: tccutil reset ScreenCapture com.tinyspeck.slackmacgap
- Quit and reopen Slack and allow screen recording when asked
3. Switch to the direct-download app
- Uninstall the Mac App Store version of Slack
- Download Slack from slack.com/downloads/mac and move it to Applications
- Sign in and try sharing again
4. Fix black screen on Windows
- Open your laptop lid if it is closed
- Unplug or undock external monitors and share again
5. Test with Slack's tools
- Preferences > Audio & video > Troubleshooting > Run test
- Check upload speed; share from Chrome to compare
