    2. On mobile, force-close and reopen the app
    3. Sign out and back in

  3. 3. Search and check archived chats

    1. Use the search in the sidebar to find the chat by a keyword
    2. Open Settings > Data controls > Archived chats to see if it was archived

  4. 4. Clear cache and cookies or use a private window

    1. Open a private/incognito window and sign in to chatgpt.com
    2. If that works, clear cookies and site data for chatgpt.com and openai.com in your normal browser
    3. Sign in again
