How to Cancel Surfshark and Get a Refund

Symptoms

You want to stop auto-renewal or get your money back but can't find a cancel button, or you paid through Apple, Google Play or Amazon.

Why it happens

  • Auto-renewal is on by default
  • Refund requests are separate from cancelling
  • App store purchases must be cancelled and refunded through the store

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Cancel a website purchase

    1. Log in at surfshark.com and open your account in the top-right corner
    2. Open the Subscription tab and follow the cancel steps
    3. Or go to my.surfshark.com/account/cancel-renewal to stop renewal at the end of the term
    4. Or ask live chat (Sharkbot) to cancel and stop all recurring payments to get a cancellation link

  2. 2. Request a refund within 30 days

    1. Go to my.surfshark.com/account/request-refund or contact live chat
    2. Refunds apply only to first purchases within 30 days, not renewed subscriptions or Dedicated IP/Alternative ID add-ons
    3. Approved refunds usually arrive within a few business days

  3. 3. Cancel on iPhone, iPad or Mac

    1. iPhone/iPad: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Surfshark > Cancel Subscription
    2. Mac: App Store > your name > Account Settings > Subscriptions > Manage > Edit > Cancel Subscription
    3. Request refunds from Apple Support

  4. 4. Cancel on Google Play

    1. Open Google Play > your account > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
    2. Select Surfshark and tap Cancel subscription
    3. Within 48 hours of purchase request the refund from Google Play; after that contact Surfshark support

  5. 5. Cancel on Amazon

    1. Amazon > Account & Lists > Memberships & Subscriptions
    2. Find Surfshark and click Cancel Subscription (desktop works best)
    3. Request refunds from Amazon Support
