How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Check notification settings in ClickUp

    1. Click your avatar > Settings > Notifications
    2. Make sure assignments, comments and mentions are enabled for browser, email and mobile
    3. Check the List/Space isn't muted

  2. 2. Reset the browser permission

    1. Click the lock icon next to app.clickup.com in the address bar
    2. Reset permissions (or set Notifications to Allow)
    3. Reload ClickUp and accept the banner offering to enable browser notifications

  3. 3. Allow the browser in macOS settings

    1. Apple menu > System Settings > Notifications
    2. Select your browser (or ClickUp) and turn Allow Notifications on
    3. If already on, toggle it off and back on

  4. 4. Allow the browser in Windows settings

    1. Settings > System > Notifications (Notifications & actions)
    2. Turn on the top-level notifications toggle
    3. Make sure your browser/ClickUp is allowed

  5. 5. Turn off Focus / Do Not Disturb

    1. Disable Focus on macOS or Focus assist on Windows
    2. Test by having a teammate @mention you
