Reflect Calendar Events Not Showing

Workaround available Mac, Web, Windows Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

If events don't appear next to your daily note, the account usually wasn't fully authorised (Google's permission checkboxes are easy to miss), the calendar isn't selected in preferences, or iCloud was added without an app-specific password. Reconnect the account under Preferences > Connections.

Most likely fix: Reconnect Google or Office 365 and tick every checkbox.

Symptoms

No events appear beside the daily note, some calendars are missing, or an iCloud calendar won't connect.

Why it happens

  • Google permission checkboxes left unticked during sign-in
  • The calendar isn't selected in Reflect's preferences
  • iCloud added with your normal Apple ID password instead of an app-specific password
  • The account was only just added and hasn't synced yet

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Reconnect Google or Office 365 and tick every checkbox

    1. Press Cmd+, and open Connections
    2. Remove the account, then click Connect an account
    3. Choose Google or Office 365 and tick all the permission checkboxes
    4. Wait a few seconds for the account to appear in the list
  2. 2. Select the right calendars

    1. In Preferences > Connections, open the account
    2. Make sure the calendars you want are switched on
  3. 3. Use an app-specific password for iCloud

    1. Sign in at appleid.apple.com
    2. Open App-Specific Passwords and click +
    3. Name it 'Reflect' and confirm your Apple ID password
    4. Paste the generated password into Reflect when adding iCloud
