Notion Export to PDF Not Working

Workaround available Web, Windows, macOS Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

If a Notion PDF export fails it silently falls back to HTML; subpage PDF exports need Business or Enterprise and arrive by email; and Windows can't unzip deeply nested exports. Export smaller pages, use 7-Zip, or print to PDF.

Most likely fix: Export from the page menu.

Symptoms

You get HTML instead of PDF, 'Include subpages' is unavailable, the export email never seems to arrive, or Windows can't open the ZIP.
