KineMaster Keeps Crashing
Workaround available Android, iOS Updated October 21, 2026
Quick answer
For KineMaster crashes, update the app, free internal storage, reboot and use the in-app Reset. Don't uninstall or clear app data: that deletes your projects.
Most likely fix: Update KineMaster.
Symptoms
KineMaster closes while editing, when opening a project, during export or when sharing an exported video.
Why it happens
- Outdated app version
- Low internal storage
- Problem clips (screen recordings, unsupported files)
- Corrupted app settings after an update
- Unofficial modded APK
How to fix it
Try these in order — the most common fix is first.
1. Update KineMaster
- Install the latest version from Google Play or the App Store
2. Free storage and reboot
- Free several GB of internal storage
- Restart the phone
3. Back up projects, then reset the app
- Export important projects as .kine files first
- In KineMaster open Settings > Reset app (projects are kept)
- Avoid uninstalling or clearing app data, which deletes projects
4. Remove or re-encode the clip that triggers the crash
- If one project crashes, find the clip being processed when it crashes
- Re-encode it or replace it
5. Send a crash report
- Record your screen reproducing the crash
- Send it with a description via Create > ? > Email Support
