How to Cancel Craft Subscription

Cancel Craft where you bought it: in Craft (Settings > My Subscription > Settings and Billing > Cancel Subscription), in your Apple Account for App Store purchases, or at my.setapp.com for Setapp. You keep paid features until the period ends and your documents stay.

Symptoms

You can't find a cancel button in Craft, or you were charged again after thinking you cancelled.

Why it happens

  • Subscription bought through the App Store or Setapp (cancel button not shown in Craft)
  • Signed into an account that didn't make the purchase
  • Subscribed to a new plan before the old one expired (two active subscriptions)

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Cancel a subscription bought in Craft

    1. Open Settings (Mac: click the space name at the top of the sidebar; iOS: space icon top-left; Android: profile picture top-right)
    2. Select My Subscription
    3. Click Settings and Billing on the subscription
    4. Choose Cancel Subscription and confirm

  2. 2. Cancel an App Store subscription

    1. iPhone/iPad: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Craft > Cancel Subscription
    2. Mac: App Store > your account > Account Settings > Subscriptions > Manage

  3. 3. Cancel via Setapp

    1. Sign in at my.setapp.com and manage your membership

  4. 4. Ask for a refund

    1. Bought directly from Craft: email support@craft.do
    2. App Store: request at reportaproblem.apple.com — only Apple can refund
    3. Setapp: contact Setapp support

  5. 5. Downgrading plans

    1. Cancel first, wait for the current period to end, then subscribe to the new plan to avoid double billing
