Craft Not Syncing Between Devices

Workaround available macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Windows, Web, Android Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

Craft sync usually stops because a VPN, ad blocker or firewall blocks Craft's servers, or because a device is signed into a different account. Open Settings > Diagnostics and tap Sync Now; if that fails, sign out, force-quit, wait 30 seconds and sign back in.

Most likely fix: Run a manual sync from Diagnostics.

Symptoms

Edits made on one device never appear on another, the app shows an offline or unsynced status, or Diagnostics reports pending changes.

Why it happens

  • VPN, ad blocker (e.g. AdGuard) or network monitor (e.g. Little Snitch) blocking Craft
  • Corporate network not allowing api.craft.do, docs.craft.do and res.craft.do
  • Devices signed in with different login methods (Apple vs email) = different accounts
  • App stuck in a stale offline state
  • Outdated app version on one device

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Run a manual sync from Diagnostics

    1. On Mac, iPhone or iPad open Settings > Diagnostics
    2. Check the sync status and tap Sync Now
    3. If it fails, use Report Sync Error to send logs to Craft
    4. Do NOT use Reset Sync unless support asks — it discards unsynced local changes
  2. 2. Fully quit and reopen Craft

    1. Mac: quit Craft in Activity Monitor
    2. iPhone/iPad: swipe Craft away in the app switcher
    3. Windows: end Craft in Task Manager or use Quit Craft from the tray icon
    4. Reopen and let it sync
  3. 3. Disable VPN, ad blockers and network filters

    1. Temporarily turn off your VPN, AdGuard, Little Snitch or DNS filter
    2. Check browser extensions such as Hush or Plume Guard on the web app
    3. If sync works, allowlist *.craft.do in that tool
  4. 4. Confirm every device uses the same account

    1. Open account settings on each device and compare the email
    2. An address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com means Sign in with Apple
    3. Sign out and sign in with the same method everywhere
  5. 5. Sign out and back in

    1. Sign out of Craft
    2. Force-quit the app and wait about 30 seconds
    3. Sign back in; on Windows/Web also clear cache and check the network
  6. 6. Update Craft everywhere

    1. Update to the latest version on every device
    2. Check the minimum OS: macOS 12+, iOS/iPadOS 15+, Windows 10+
