Filmora Watermark Still Showing After Purchase

Workaround available Windows, Mac Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

A watermark on a paid account usually means you're signed in with a different account than the one that bought the plan, the project uses locked effects or stock, or the file was exported before you upgraded. Sign in with the purchase email and re-export from the project.

Most likely fix: Sign in with the purchase account.

Symptoms

Exports still carry the Filmora watermark after buying a plan, or the app still shows free-version prompts.

Why it happens

  • Logged into a different Wondershare account than the one that purchased
  • Activation status not refreshed after upgrading from the trial
  • Effects, templates or stock from a separate paid pack (Creative Assets) used in the project
  • The video was exported before the purchase; rendered watermarks can't be removed

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Sign in with the purchase account

    1. Click the profile icon in Filmora and check the email address
    2. Log out and log back in with the exact email used to buy
    3. Confirm the plan shows as active, then re-export
  2. 2. Re-export from the project file

    1. Open the original project (not the exported MP4)
    2. Export again after activation; a watermark burned into an earlier export can't be cleanly removed
  3. 3. Check for locked assets

    1. Look for effects, titles or stock marked as premium in your timeline
    2. Replace them, or subscribe to the asset pack they belong to
  4. 4. Contact Wondershare support with your order ID

    1. Find the order email
    2. Ask support to link the license to your account
