iA Writer Not Syncing With iCloud

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Restart every affected device

    1. Quit iA Writer on all devices
    2. Restart the Mac, iPhone and iPad — this resets the system processes that handle sync
    3. Open iA Writer again while online

    1. On iPhone, open Settings > iA Writer and enable Cellular Data
    2. Also enable cellular use for iCloud Drive

  5. 5. Disable VPN, firewall or antivirus temporarily

    1. If files appear at icloud.com > iCloud Drive > iA Writer but not on the device, pause the VPN or firewall tool
    2. Add an exception for iCloud and retry

  6. 6. Check Apple System Status and update

    1. Visit Apple's System Status page and check iCloud Drive
    2. Update the OS and iA Writer on all devices
