Krisp Meeting Notes or Transcript Not Generated

Ongoing Windows, macOS Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

Notes are only created if Krisp actually captured the meeting audio. Check Automatic Activation for the note taker, make sure the call app uses Krisp Microphone/Speaker, and start recording manually for important meetings.

Most likely fix: Turn on automatic note taking.

Symptoms

A meeting is missing from Krisp, the transcript is empty or silent, or no AI summary appears after the call.

Why it happens

  • AI Note Taker Automatic Activation turned off
  • Call app not using Krisp devices, so silence is recorded
  • Storage limit reached on Core (10 GB) or Advanced (60 GB)
  • Recording started on the wrong meeting

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Turn on automatic note taking

    1. Krisp > Settings > General
    2. Enable Automatic Activation for the AI Note Taker
  2. 2. Start recording manually

    1. Open the Krisp panel at the start of the meeting
    2. Click Start Recording / enable AI Notes
    3. Click Stop when the meeting ends, then wait for notes to process
  3. 3. Route audio through Krisp

    1. In the meeting app pick Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker
    2. Otherwise Krisp may record only silence
  4. 4. Check storage

    1. Open your Krisp account and check storage usage against your plan
    2. Delete old recordings or buy extra storage
