Lattice Can't Submit Review

Workaround available Web Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

If Lattice won't submit your performance review, a required question is almost always unanswered (marked with a red asterisk, sometimes needing both a rating and a comment). Otherwise refresh, log out and back in, or switch browsers, after copying your text somewhere safe.

Most likely fix: Save your text first.

Symptoms

The Submit button does nothing, shows an error, or the review stays in draft.

Why it happens

  • Required questions missing a rating or a comment
  • Connection dropped during submission
  • Stale page or expired session
  • Outdated browser or cached data
  • The cycle closed before you submitted

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Save your text first

    1. Copy your answers into a separate document so nothing is lost
  2. 2. Complete every required question

    1. Scroll through the review and look for red asterisks
    2. Make sure questions that need both a rating and a comment have both
  3. 3. Refresh or re-login

    1. Refresh the page and submit again
    2. Log out of Lattice, log back in, and retry
  4. 4. Fix the browser

    1. Update your browser
    2. Clear the browser cache
    3. Try a different browser
  5. 5. Ask an admin to reopen the review

    1. If the deadline passed, ask your Lattice admin to reopen your review stage
    2. Find it again under your reopened reviews and submit
