Dashlane Not Syncing Between Devices

Workaround available All Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

First confirm every device is logged in to the same Dashlane account, then update the app and force a sync with 'Sync now' in the web app. Logging out and back in fixes most remaining cases.

Most likely fix: Check which account you're logged in with.

Symptoms

Passwords saved on one device don't appear on another, or apps show different items.

Why it happens

  • Different Dashlane accounts on different devices
  • Outdated app keeping data locally instead of uploading it
  • A single device stuck and not syncing

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Check which account you're logged in with

    1. Open Dashlane on each device and check the account email
    2. Log in with the same account everywhere
  2. 2. Update every Dashlane app

    1. Update the extension, the iOS/Android app and the browser
    2. Reopen Dashlane
  3. 3. Force a sync

    1. In the Dashlane web app, select 'Sync now'
    2. On Mac, iPhone and Android there is no button: close and reopen the app
  4. 4. Log out and back in

    1. Before logging out of a passwordless account, make sure you're logged in on another device or have your recovery key
    2. Log out on the affected device and log back in
  5. 5. Remove and re-add the problem device

    1. In your account's device list, remove the device that isn't syncing
    2. Log in on that device again
