Acuity Stripe Payments Not Working

Workaround available Web Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

Usually the Stripe account isn't fully activated or the connection went stale. Finish Stripe activation, then disconnect and reconnect Stripe from Payments in Acuity.

Most likely fix: Complete Stripe activation.

Symptoms

Clients can't pay at checkout, see a card error, or Apple Pay / Google Pay don't appear on the embedded scheduler.

Why it happens

  • Stripe account not fully activated for live charges
  • Stale or expired Stripe connection
  • Domain not registered for Apple Pay / Google Pay on embedded schedulers

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Complete Stripe activation

    1. Log in to Stripe and finish any pending account verification
  2. 2. Reconnect Stripe

    1. In Acuity, open Payments
    2. Disconnect Stripe and connect it again
    3. Re-select your payment terms
  3. 3. Register your domain for wallets

    1. If the scheduler is embedded on your site, register the domain with Stripe so Apple Pay / Google Pay show
    2. The standalone Acuity scheduling page is registered automatically
