Keeper Face ID Not Working

Workaround available iOS, iPadOS, Windows Updated October 21, 2026

Quick answer

Face ID must be set up in iOS first, then enabled under Keeper's Settings > Biometric Login. If you declined the first prompt, re-enable it in iOS Settings > Keeper > Face ID.

Most likely fix: Allow Face ID for Keeper in iOS.

Symptoms

Keeper asks for the master password instead of Face ID, the Face ID symbol is missing on the login screen, or Face ID fails silently.

Why it happens

  • Face ID declined on first launch
  • Biometric Login turned off in Keeper
  • Face ID not configured on the device

How to fix it

Try these in order — the most common fix is first.

  1. 1. Allow Face ID for Keeper in iOS

    1. Open iOS Settings > Keeper
    2. Toggle Face ID on
  2. 2. Turn on Biometric Login in Keeper

    1. Open Keeper > Settings > Login Options
    2. Toggle Biometric Login on and confirm with your master password
  3. 3. Set up Face ID on the device

    1. Open iOS Settings > Face ID & Passcode
    2. Set up Face ID, then enable Biometric Login in Keeper
  4. 4. Windows: enable Windows Hello

    1. In Keeper Desktop open the account menu > Settings > Security
    2. Toggle Windows Hello Login on and click Enable
    3. Install Keeper from the App Installer or Microsoft Store if the option is missing
